Question 1: The vertical dryer occupies a small area, but materials are prone to wall sticking and incomplete drying. How to solve this problem?
Due to its vertical structure that saves space, the vertical dryer is widely used for drying granular and powdered materials. However, when the material humidity is high, it is easy to adhere to the cylinder wall, resulting in incomplete local drying. Solutions: First, install wear-resistant scrapers on the inner wall of the cylinder. The rotating scrapers scrape off the wall-sticking materials to ensure full contact between the materials and hot air. Second, optimize the layout of the hot air inlet and outlet, adopt the hot air flow direction of "bottom-in and top-out", and cooperate with multi-layer dispersion sieve plates to disperse the materials into thin layers and extend the drying path. Third, adjust the air speed (generally controlled at 1.5-3m/s) and temperature according to the material characteristics to avoid material caking and wall sticking due to local overheating.
Question 2: How to avoid material deterioration when the vertical dryer processes heat-sensitive materials?
Heat-sensitive materials (such as food additives and biological feed) are sensitive to temperature. Improper temperature control of the vertical dryer can easily lead to material discoloration and nutrient loss. Solutions: Adopt a low-temperature and high-air-volume drying process, control the drying temperature at 40-60℃, and improve the hot air circulation utilization rate (circulation rate ≥70%); install a condensation recovery device on the top of the dryer to recover moisture in the hot air, reduce the humidity of fresh air, and improve drying efficiency; in addition, a temperature early warning device can be installed at the material inlet to monitor the drying temperature in real time, and automatically adjust the hot air supply when the temperature exceeds the standard.
