Question 1: How does the thin film sludge dryer achieve deep sludge drying? What is the moisture content of the sludge after drying?
The thin film sludge dryer realizes deep drying through the principle of "thin film evaporation": the sludge is conveyed to the surface of the dryer's heating drum, and a scraper scrapes the sludge into a uniform thin film (thickness: 0.5-2mm). High-temperature steam (120-180℃) is introduced into the drum, and heat is transferred through the drum wall to rapidly evaporate moisture in the sludge. Under normal operating conditions, the moisture content of the dried sludge can be reduced to 10%-30%, meeting the requirements for subsequent incineration, landfilling, or resource utilization.
Question 2: During the operation of the thin film sludge dryer, uneven film thickness leads to significant differences in drying effect. How to adjust this?
Film thickness is a key factor affecting drying effect. Uneven thickness can result in local over-drying and caking, as well as incomplete drying in other areas. Solutions: First, optimize the scraper structure by adopting an adjustable scraper. Adjust the gap between the scraper and the drum (generally controlled at 0.3-0.8mm) according to sludge viscosity to ensure uniform film thickness. Second, install a screw feeder at the sludge inlet, and use frequency conversion to control the feeding speed, avoiding film thickness changes caused by fluctuations in feeding volume. Third, regularly inspect the flatness of the drum surface. If the drum surface becomes uneven due to wear, promptly polish or replace it to ensure the sludge can adhere evenly to form a thin film.
